How clear and fair is Noom’s pricing?
The “$69/month” plastered across Noom’s ads is the membership fee for branded medications only and does not include GLP-1 medication. Compounded semaglutide injections actually cost $279/month ($837 every 12 weeks), billed up front with no monthly option and no flexibility to cancel mid-cycle. The real pricing isn’t clearly disclosed until you’re deep into checkout, buried in FAQ and fine print.

Noom’s credentials are nearly flawless. LegitScript certified, HIPAA compliant with a dedicated footer section, clean disciplinary record, licensed prescribers through Your Big Picture Healthcare, and a verifiable US address in Princeton, NJ. The only friction I encountered was getting pharmacy partner information. I had to go through the in-app care team because the reps at phone and email support couldn’t provide it.

Phone and email support couldn’t tell me who fills the prescriptions. The in-app care team came through within 24 hours with OptioRx as a verified pharmacy partner. There are likely more, and getting just one name shouldn’t require that much digging.

No prefilled syringes, so you draw and inject yourself, but the instructions are thorough enough for a first timer.
Tracking & Delivery Perfect
One-day shipping with tracking available through both email and the Noom app was fast and reliable and communication was good throughout. This is the fastest standard shipping I’ve seen from GLP-1 providers.
Transparent Operations
How honest is Noom in its policies and communications?
Noom‘s transparency picture is mixed. It scores perfectly on medication clarity, sales pressure (outside checkout), and cancellation functionality. But the advertised “$69/month” is flatly misleading, real pricing is hidden until deep in the checkout flow, and the cancellation process involves an absurdly aggressive retention gauntlet that you have to see to believe.
KEY OBSERVATIONS
When I tried to cancel, Noom hit me with three separate discount offers, asked which competitor I was going to and repeatedly asked if I was “absolutely sure.” Functionally it works. Experientially, it’s exhausting.

Cancellation and Post-Cancellation Billing Good
Cancellation does work. It’s an easy button online, takes effect immediately, and no charges occur after. But the process of getting there is something else entirely. When I tried to cancel, Noom hit me with a payment plan offer ($279 every four weeks), then a 10% discount on the full 12-week plan, then a downgrade to Noom Weight at $159 without medication. They asked me which competitor I was going to, listing clinics by name, and why I was leaving, and then after I selected cancel for what felt like the thousandth time, they reminded me I’d lose all medication refills and access to support and asked if I was “absolutely sure.” It was like something out of a movie.
Clear Pricing and Policies Major issues
Pricing is not clear for any of the medications. Noom lists pricing for most drugs on its “med” page, but compounded semaglutide isn’t even shown as an option until you reach checkout after completing intake. Mochi also doesn’t make it sufficiently clear that, besides the first month, bulk three-month payments are required. It’s buried in the FAQ, at the bottom of the page. You have to actively hunt for the real numbers.
Accuracy and Authenticity of Images Minor issues
The website uses a mix of cartoons and what appear to be real people. Nothing looks inauthentic or obviously AI generated. Some photos could go either way, but nothing raised a major red flag.

Noom displays logos for news sources on its website. Some are verifiable through a “Press & Media” section, which is better than most clinics manage. Others lack direct links or clear confirmation. The verifiable ones check out; the rest are a minor concern but not a deal-breaker.
Marketing Practices and Sales Pressure Perfect
The website and intake process are entirely pressure-free. No countdown timers, no urgency messaging, no forced prompts. The only aggressive sales behavior appeared during the cancellation flow (covered above), where I was flooded with discount offers. But the initial purchase journey is clean.
Clarity Around Medication Types and Limitations Perfect
Noom includes a clear, prominent disclaimer: “The compounded semaglutide products provided by Noom are not approved by FDA. This means that they have not undergone review for safety, efficacy, or quality before being dispensed, and have not been demonstrated to the FDA to be safe or effective.” This is transparent, honest, and something many clinics fail to disclose at all.

These aren’t minor quibbles; they’re the kind of pricing practices that erode trust in an otherwise solid provider.
If you go in knowing what you’ll actually pay and can commit to the 12-week billing structure, the underlying product is legitimately good. Just don’t expect the price you saw in the ad.
