BEFORE WE DIG IN

Before reviewing, I signed up with GobyMeds, recorded the process, and gathered the key info you need to see if it’s a good fit. This review follows NNC’s Price & Trust Transparency Score methodology, which evaluates providers across true cost analysis and safety & legitimacy.

Disclosure: I’m a paid contributor to NutritionNC.com and was not compensated by GobyMeds for this review.

Step 1: Check pricing before you sign up.

GobyMeds has a pricing tab right at the top of the site. You pick your medication and see the actual cost before handing over any personal info. That alone puts it ahead of most clinics I’ve reviewed.

Step 2: Create your account and complete the intake.

The intake is clean and well-designed. Each medication option shows which pharmacy it comes from and which functional additive it uses. Hover over an additive and a little pop-up explains what it does, such as potentially managing side effects or supporting absorption, for example. I’ve never seen that level of clarity on an intake form.

Step 3: Upload your photos.

GobyMeds requires a full-body photo in tight clothing plus a photo ID. The ID makes sense, but the body photo felt unnecessarily invasive and easy to game with an old picture. Not my favorite part.

Step 4: Wait for provider review.

The care team messaged me through the portal to ask follow-up questions about my intake. The responses weren’t generic, and the prescriber introduced themselves in a genuinely warm way. The turnaround was about 24 hours, depending on how fast you reply.

Step 5: Receive your medication.

My order shipped and arrived within 24 hours. Tracking came through UPS and GobyMeds via email (but not the patient portal).

Step 6: Reorder when your window opens.

GobyMeds is not a subscription, which I appreciate. About 10 days before your supply ends, an order window opens in the portal and you submit a new intake to refill. A provider check-in is required at least every three months.

Coaching & Lifestyle

Not offered

GobyMeds does not offer behavior coaching, nutrition support, fitness programming, or a patient community. This is a medication-first service.

For my review, I tested and scored GobyMeds across six key areas that matter most: true cost, legitimacy, patient support, shipping standards, transparency, and real customer feedback.

Here’s everything I found:

92

True Cost Analysis

How clear and fair is GobyMeds’s pricing?

GobyMeds’s pricing is among the most transparent I’ve tested. The homepage has a dedicated pricing tab with a disclaimer noting that the lowest advertised prices reflect multi-month bundles, which is a level of honesty I almost never see.

At $169/month for compounded semaglutide injections and $299/month for compounded tirzepatide injections, GobyMeds sits comfortably below average for this category. Bundle discounts drop the per-month cost further.

KEY OBSERVATIONS

GobyMeds lets you compare pricing before you hand over any personal info. Most clinics bury pricing behind the intake form.

GobyMeds explicitly discloses that the lowest advertised prices reflect bundle commitments—next-level transparency from a category that usually hides this.

The intake shows which pharmacy fills each dose and which functional additive is used, with hover-to-explain tooltips. I’ve never seen this before.

Pricing Breakdown

Safety & Legitimacy

Is this provider trustworthy and properly licensed?

GobyMeds is LegitScript certified and HIPAA compliant, and it has a verifiable US address in Dover, DE. What really stands out is that GobyMeds goes beyond listing pharmacy partners by actually displaying the pharmacy name and additive next to each medication option during intake, so you know exactly where your medication is coming from and what’s in it. Supplements such as B12, B6, glycine, and NAD are often added to support effectiveness and manage side effects, although the safety and effectiveness of these additives have not been studied or approved. Keeping you fully informed of the formula this way is a nice touch.

KEY OBSERVATIONS

GobyMeds holds active LegitScript certification. This is the industry gold standard and confirms basic compliance and safety standards.

Pharmacy partner and additive—typically B12, B6, glycine, or NAD—are disclosed at the point of medication selection, not buried in the TOS. That is rare and worth calling out.

The HIPAA statement is clearly posted inside the privacy policy. No hunting required.

Credentials Breakdown

LegitScript Certification Verified

LegitScript certification is the industry gold standard for online healthcare providers, and GobyMeds’s certification shows it meets rigorous standards for safety, compliance, and trustworthy online practices.

HIPAA Compliant Perfect

GobyMeds’s HIPAA privacy notice is clearly posted inside its privacy policy and easy to find. No concerns here.

Clean Provider Records Perfect

GobyMeds names four pharmacy partners: CasaPharma RX, Seven Cells (Performance Wellness Pharmacy LLC), Vital RX Pharmacy LLC, and BPI Labs LLC. State board records show CasaPharma RX had nine compliance deficiencies from August 2025 that were fully corrected by January 2026, with no prior disciplinary history. Seven Cells, Vital RX, and BPI Labs all hold active licenses with no disciplinary action on file. Prescribing clinicians are listed as independent contractors licensed in the jurisdictions they serve.

US Address Perfect

8 The Green, Ste. A, Dover, DE 19901. Verifiable and clearly listed.

Patient Support & Comprehensive Care

How easy is it to get help from real people?

Getting help from GobyMeds is hit or miss. Chat and email responses are polite and helpful once they come through, but phone support is essentially nonfunctional, and chat replies take about a day to land in your inbox. Clinical oversight exists, but the reorder process is not well explained.

KEY OBSERVATIONS

The phone goes straight to an automated message that says the team is assisting other customers, then to voicemail. No callback.

Chat staff were polite and helpful, but replies arrived through email about 24 hours later. The advertised chat reply window is two days.

The reorder flow is not explained in the portal. I had to ask support directly to learn that a new intake is required each cycle.

Support & Care Breakdown

Live Chat Human

Chat inside the patient portal is staffed by humans, not bots. The replies are polite, helpful, and specific. The tradeoff is speed. My first message got an auto-reply saying expect a response in one day, and that turned out to be accurate. The tool itself is a messaging inbox more than a live chat.

Phone Support Automated

Phone support at (866) 785-9869 is advertised but not functional during my testing. You hear an automated message that the team is assisting other customers, then the line goes to voicemail. No hours are posted and I never received a callback. If you prefer phone-based communication, this isn’t the clinic.

Email Human

Email support at careteam@gobymeds.com is the same pipeline as chat. Responses are polite and thorough, and the chat replies actually come through email. One channel, two entry points.

Clinical Access & Oversight Okay

Clinical oversight exists, but the details of the ongoing care model are not explained well before you sign up. I had to message support directly to confirm that each reorder requires a new intake form and that you are not automatically billed between cycles. That is actually good news (you’re never charged without placing an order), but it should not take a support ticket to find out.

100

Medication Handling & Shipping Standards

How well shipped and packaged are the medications?

GobyMeds earned a perfect score here. Cold-chain shipping was handled properly, all supplies were included with extras, tracking came through promptly, and the medication arrived within 24 hours of shipping. That is genuinely impressive.

KEY OBSERVATIONS

One large ice pack and thick foam insulation kept the medication cold through the 24-hour delivery window.

The medication sat inside a small bubble wrap pouch, inside a ziplock bag, inside the foam box. Nothing shifted in transit.

Tracking came through both UPS and GobyMeds via email. It doesn’t appear in the patient portal, but the email updates were reliable.

Shipping Standards Breakdown

Cold-Chain Shipping Standards Perfect

One large ice pack inside a foam insulated box kept the medication at the right temperature. No complaints about temperature control on arrival.

Packaging Quality & Security Perfect

The ice pack, medication, and supplies were all placed inside a large insulated box. The supplies and medication sat inside a ziplock bag, and the medication itself was inside a small bubble wrap pouch within the ziplock. Nothing shifted in transit, and the vial was intact.

Supplies & Instructions Perfect

All required injection supplies were included, plus extra sharps and alcohol wipes. The box also included clear written instructions and drug information covering storage, temperature handling, and injection guidance. No prefilled syringes, so you draw and inject yourself.

Tracking & Delivery Perfect

Tracking came through both UPS and GobyMeds via email. It does not appear inside the patient portal itself, which would be nice to have, but the email updates were reliable. Delivery landed within 24 hours of shipping.

90

Transparent Operations

How honest is GobyMeds in its policies and communications?

GobyMeds scored high here, and for good reason. Pricing is transparent before intake, cancellation is a nonissue because the service is not subscription based, no pressure tactics are deployed, and compounded medication limitations are clearly disclosed. The one sticking point is that some site images appear to be AI generated, which cost a few points.

KEY OBSERVATIONS

Pricing is fully laid out before intake, with a disclaimer noting that the lowest prices reflect multi-month bundles.

GobyMeds explicitly states that compounded medications are not FDA approved and that efficacy and safety profiles may differ from commercial drugs.

Some patient and lifestyle images on the site look AI generated—not a deal-breaker, but worth noting alongside all the things done right.

Operations Breakdown

Cancellation and Post-Cancellation Billing Minor issues

GobyMeds does not operate through subscription, so there is nothing to cancel in the usual sense. When I reached out through chat to ask how to cancel, support confirmed there is nothing to cancel because you only ever pay for orders you personally place and your provider approves. That is a great model. The small ding is that it is not explained anywhere in the portal, so I had to ask

Clear Pricing and Policies Perfect

Pricing and policies are clearly listed on the site. The monthly option is a flat fee, and the site even shows how bundle discounts shift by dose. That level of detail is genuinely rare in this category.

Accuracy and Authenticity of Images Minor issues

Some of the patient and lifestyle images on the site appear to be AI generated. I cannot verify this with certainty, but the style is consistent with AI output. It is a small issue in the context of an otherwise transparent site, but for a healthcare provider, real imagery matters.

Advertised Pricing Accuracy Perfect

The price advertised matches what I paid at checkout. The front page shows the lowest pricing, which usually reflects the 12-month bundle, and GobyMeds explicitly discloses that with a disclaimer: “The lowest prices shown may reflect multi-month plans or introductory bundles.” I also checked Meta and Instagram and saw no misleading off-site pricing ads.

Media and Third-Party Validation Perfect

GobyMeds does not make unverifiable media or partnership claims. No “as seen on” logos that can’t be traced back to actual coverage.

Marketing Practices and Sales Pressure Perfect

No countdown timers, no urgency messaging, no pushy upsells. You can review your options without feeling rushed.

Clarity Around Medication Types and Limitations Perfect

GobyMeds clearly states that its medical partners may prescribe compounded medications, that compounded drugs are not FDA approved, and that efficacy and safety profiles may differ from commercially available drugs. Patients are told directly to consult their provider about the risks and benefits. This is exactly the kind of honesty that should be standard.

85

Patient Reviews & Real Experiences

What do recent customers think?

GobyMeds has a 4.5 on Trustpilot and a B+ rating with the Better Business Bureau for its parent company, Goby Health LLC. Reviews are mixed on Reddit; some users report good results and service while others flag efficacy concerns over time. Clinic responses to public feedback do not appear generic, which I appreciate.

KEY OBSERVATIONS

A 4.5 on Trustpilot is strong. Worth reading individual reviews for context on both positive and negative experiences.

The BBB gives parent company Goby Health LLC a B+ rating. One complaint in the last three years, resolved directly by the GobyMeds team.

Reddit sentiment is mixed. Some users report positive results and service, others raise concerns about efficacy waning over time or slow customer service.

Who Should Use GobyMeds?

  • For those who want a clinic that actually tells you which pharmacy is filling your prescription, GobyMeds is one of the only options that delivers. The intake itself shows the pharmacy partner and additive next to each medication, with hover-to-explain tooltips for the additives. That level of disclosure is almost unheard of in this category.
  • If transparent, flat-rate pricing matters, GobyMeds is built for you. The pricing tab at the top of the site shows the real cost before intake, bundle discounts are laid out by dose, and a disclaimer explains that the lowest advertised price reflects multi-month commitments. No bait-and-switch.
  • If you want fast shipping without paying extra, this one is hard to beat. My medication arrived within 24 hours of shipping, in a properly insulated box with everything included. At no additional cost.
  • If you prefer a no-subscription model where you only pay when you order, GobyMeds fits. You are never automatically billed, and the reorder window opens about 10 days before your current supply ends. Skip a month, skip three months, no cancellation needed.

Who is GobyMeds Not For?

  • If you need reliable phone support, this isn’t it. The phone goes straight to an automated message and then voicemail, and I never received a callback. Chat and email work, but replies take about a day. Clinics like Lemonaid Health with live, human phone lines will suit you better if phone access matters.
  • If the idea of uploading a full-body photo in tight clothing feels invasive, skip it. GobyMeds requires one for prescription. It feels stigmatizing and is easy to game with an old photo anyway, which makes its clinical value unclear.
  • If you want branded GLP-1 medications like Ozempic or Mounjaro, GobyMeds does not offer them. You can get Wegovy® and Zepbound® pens at full cash price, but if you want the full branded lineup, clinics like Mochi Health offer a much wider selection.
  • If you want coaching, nutrition guidance, or community support alongside your medication, GobyMeds does not include any of that. No behavior coaching, no meal plans, no fitness programming, no patient community. Clinics like MEDVi or Enhance.MD bundle lifestyle support at no extra cost.
  • If you want your provider on a scheduled video visit, GobyMeds does not offer that either. The consultation is asynchronous through the portal. The care team is thorough and the prescribers introduce themselves, but if you want a face-to-face video call, this is not the right fit.

Final Verdict

OVERALL SCORE

89

GobyMeds scores 89/100, and the standout wins are Transparent Operations (90/100), Medication Handling & Shipping (100/100), and True Cost Analysis (92/100). The pricing tab at the top of the site, the pharmacy and additive disclosure inside the intake, and the 24-hour delivery are all genuinely impressive. Compounded semaglutide at $169/month is competitive, and there is no membership fee or hidden subscription.

The weak spot is patient support at 50/100. The phone does not work in any meaningful sense, and chat replies land in your inbox about a day later. The reorder process is not clearly explained until you ask, and the required full-body intake photo feels unnecessary and invasive.

If you value transparency, honest pricing, and fast shipping, and you can live with asynchronous messaging instead of a phone call, GobyMeds delivers more than most clinics I’ve reviewed.
