BEFORE WE DIG IN

Before reviewing, I signed up with Enhance.MD, recorded the process, and gathered the key info you need to see if it’s a good fit. This review follows NNC’s Price & Trust Transparency Score methodology, which evaluates providers across true cost analysis and safety & legitimacy.

Disclosure: I’m a paid contributor to NutritionNC.com and was not compensated by Enhance.MD for this review.

Step 1: Sign up and complete your intake.

Head to Enhance.MD’s site and start the intake. It seems short at first, but a second round of questions begins after you enter payment info. You’re also asked to upload a clear photo of your driver’s license or passport and a clear photo of your face. Labs are required, and you can either upload them or check a box agreeing to submit them before month two.

Step 2: Schedule your video consultation.

All appointments are video visits. You pick your own provider from a list and see their live availability. First-time visits are 20 minutes. Reevaluations for returning patients are 15 minutes. Monthly follow-ups are 10 minutes. I was able to schedule two days out from finishing intake.

Step 3: Complete your video visit and get your prescription.

My provider was a few minutes late for the consultation. Otherwise, the visit was straightforward. The prescription was written within 24 hours of the visit.

Step 4: Medication ships overnight from your pharmacy.

Enhance.MD ships via FedEx Standard Overnight. My package arrived the next day. Tracking came through FedEx directly by email, not through Enhance.MD, which may increase some people’s chances of missing it in their inbox.

Step 5: Submit lab work before month two.

Lab work is required, and you have 27 days to submit. If you miss the deadline, the medication is paused until your results are received and reviewed. Labs are required every six months.

Step 6: Complete monthly or quarterly follow-ups.

Enhance.MD prefers video follow-ups every 30 days but requires them at least every 90 days. Every follow-up is a video visit. No asynchronous-only option.

Step 7: Book one-on-one nutrition or fitness coaching as needed.

Included coaching is scheduled through the patient portal. Two coaches are on staff with fairly open availability, so booking a 30-minute session is realistic rather than theoretical.

Coaching & Lifestyle

Included

One-on-one nutrition and fitness coaching are included in the patient portal. You can book 30-minute appointments with one of two coaches. Availability is fairly open, which is rare for included coaching.

For my review, I tested and scored Enhance.MD across six key areas that matter most: true cost, legitimacy, patient support, shipping standards, transparency, and real customer feedback.

Here’s everything I found:

68

True Cost Analysis

How clear and fair is Enhance.MD’s pricing?

Enhance.MD has one of the clearest pricing presentations I’ve seen, with a dedicated “Medication & Pricing” tab at the top of the site. The catch is that the actual price is on the higher end. At $249/month for compounded semaglutide injections after the promotional first month, you’re paying a premium for the clinical oversight and included coaching.

KEY OBSERVATIONS

The “Medication & Pricing” tab at the top of the site lists prices clearly, including the rate after the initial discount. This level of disclosure is rare.

The advertised first-month price is $224, with the ongoing rate at $249/month. No hidden fees at checkout.

Bundle discounts bring the first-month cost down to $49 for a 12-month plan, but the ongoing rate ($212/mo on the longest bundle) is still high for compounded semaglutide.

Pricing Breakdown

Not included

Lab work is required before month two and every six months thereafter. Labs are not included, and Enhance.MD does not partner with a lab service. You’ll have to arrange those on your own. The upside is that you might be able to use your insurance for lab work.

There is no separate membership fee. You pay for the medication only.

Safety & Legitimacy

Is this provider trustworthy and properly licensed?

Enhance.MD earned a 94/100 in our Safety & Legitimacy assessment. LegitScript certified and HIPAA compliant, with a verifiable US address, named pharmacy partners with clean records, and physicians employed by Enhance Wellness PC and iThriveMD PC. This is what a transparent legitimacy profile looks like.

KEY OBSERVATIONS

Enhance.MD holds active LegitScript certification. This is the industry gold standard and confirms basic compliance and safety standards.

Enhance.MD names Rite-Away Pharmacy, Vios Compounding Pharmacy, and TruMedsRx in its terms of service. All three pharmacies have no disciplinary actions on file.

The HIPAA privacy notice lives in the footer as a dedicated link. No digging through the privacy policy to find it.

Credentials Breakdown

LegitScript Certification Verified

LegitScript certification is the industry gold standard for online healthcare providers, and Enhance.MD’s certification shows it meets rigorous standards for safety, compliance, and trustworthy online practices.

HIPAA Compliant Perfect

The HIPAA privacy notice is clearly posted in the footer with its own dedicated link. No scavenger hunt required.

Clean Provider Records Perfect

Enhance.MD names Rite-Away Pharmacy, Vios Compounding Pharmacy, and TruMedsRx as pharmacy partners, and I confirmed via chat that they’ll tell you which pharmacy serves your state. Neither pharmacy has any disciplinary actions on file. Prescribers are employed by Enhance Wellness PC and iThriveMD PC. You can view each provider’s profile and choose who treats you, which is rare.

US Address Perfect

213280 Evening Creek Drive South, STE 225, San Diego, CA 92128. Verifiable and clearly listed.

Patient Support & Comprehensive Care

How easy is it to get help from real people?

Enhance.MD nailed this section. The phone picked up quickly with a real human. Chat took a few minutes but connected to a polite, helpful agent. Clinical oversight is strong: All appointments are video visits, you pick your provider, and monthly check-ins are preferred.

KEY OBSERVATIONS

Chat took a few minutes to start, which still beats clinics that leave you waiting for hours. The agent was polite and helpful.

No menu of options when you call, which I appreciated. Support treats current and prospective patients the same. Audio quality was poor on my call, but the person on the other end was helpful.

All visits are video appointments. You pick your own provider from a list with live availability. Monthly check-ins are preferred, quarterly are required.

Support & Care Breakdown

Live Chat Human

In-portal chat connects to a real human within a few minutes. Not instant, but reliable. The staff were polite and answered my questions directly, including disclosing which pharmacy serves my state.

Phone Support Human

Phone support at 1-888-299-5088 runs 8 a.m.–8 p.m. EST on business days. There’s no menu separating current patients from prospective ones, which I appreciated. I was on with a real person quickly. The audio quality was rough, but the agent was helpful.

Email Human

Email support at support@enhance.md. I didn’t need to use it during my test since phone and chat both worked.

Clinical Access & Oversight Good

Clinical oversight is strong. All appointments are video visits. Monthly follow-ups are preferred; quarterly follow-ups are required. You pick your provider from a named list with availability shown up front. First-time visits are 20 minutes, re-evaluations are 15, and standard follow-ups are 10. Knowing the length in advance is a small touch I appreciated.

75

Medication Handling & Shipping Standards

How well shipped and packaged are the medications?

The shipping and packaging pieces were done well: one large sweat-proof ice pack, insulated foam, and secure placement of the medication. But the supplies and instructions were genuinely shocking: no drug information, no storage guidance, no injection instructions, not even a QR code. It was the most minimal documentation I’ve seen in any package so far.

KEY OBSERVATIONS

One large sweat-proof ice pack and thick foam insulation kept the medication at temperature. Nothing shifted in transit.

The vial came in a pill bottle. Supplies came in a ziplock. No instructions. No drug information. No storage guidance. No QR code. Genuinely shocking.

Tracking came through FedEx directly, not from Enhance.MD. It worked, but finding the tracking link required an extra step I wasn’t expecting.

Shipping Standards Breakdown

Cold-Chain Shipping Standards Perfect

One large sweat-proof ice pack wrapped in thick insulated foam kept the medication at proper temperature. A soft FedEx bubble-wrap bag on the outside with a second insulated package inside. Temperature control was handled correctly.

Packaging Quality & Security Perfect

The medication was sandwiched between the ice pack and a ziplock of supplies, with everything wrapped in protective foam. The vial came in a standard pill bottle rather than a ziplock, which surprised me, but there was no sign of moisture damage. The contents could not have shifted, though the vial had room to rattle inside the larger pill bottle. No visible damage or air bubbles.

Supplies & Instructions Major issues

This is where Enhance.MD fell flat. The standard amount of extra sharps and alcohol wipes were included. But there was no information on the drug, no storage instructions, no injection guidance, not even a QR code pointing to a webpage with instructions. For a patient who is new to self-injection, this is a real problem. Documentation is part of safe dispensing, and Enhance.MD dropped the ball here.

Tracking & Delivery Perfect

FedEx Standard Overnight delivery arrived on schedule. Tracking was provided by email, but it came from FedEx directly rather than Enhance.MD. Minor usability gripe: you have to find the FedEx email rather than checking the patient portal.

95

Transparent Operations

How honest is Enhance.MD in its policies and communications?

Enhance.MD is close to flawless on transparency with two small but notable exceptions: a cancellation button in the patient portal that ends up requiring a phone call anyway and an AI-generated marketing video on the site. Pricing, advertising, marketing pressure, and medication disclaimers are all handled cleanly.

KEY OBSERVATIONS

The cancellation button in the portal is large, prominent, and easy to find. Most clinics hide this on purpose. Great start.

Clicking the button opens a message saying you still have to call to cancel, since prescription subscriptions require speaking with a medical assistant. The button felt like a trick.

One marketing video features a woman whose hair is clipped back, then transitions to a ponytail mid-walk. Classic AI tell. Patient before-and-after photos look authentic, but this video does not.

Operations Breakdown

Cancellation and Post-Cancellation Billing Minor issues

The terms of service state you can cancel by calling support or emailing. In the portal, there’s a very large “cancel” button that suggests you can self-serve. But when I clicked it, a modal appeared saying, “Since your subscription involves prescription medication, it’s necessary to speak with a customer service representative or medical assistant to finalize the closure of your medical chart.” You still have to call. The button felt like a trick, especially because it’s so prominently displayed. Either commit to phone-only cancellation or make the button actually work.

Clear Pricing and Policies Perfect

There’s a dedicated “Medication & Pricing” tab at the top of the site. It lists pricing clearly and transparently, including the rate after the promotional first month. Very few clinics get this right.

Accuracy and Authenticity of Images Minor issues

Patient before-and-after photos on the site appear authentic. However, one marketing video is clearly AI. A woman walking with another woman has her hair clipped back, and then her hair turns into a ponytail mid-walk.

Advertised Pricing Accuracy Perfect

I didn’t see any Meta or Instagram ads with pricing claims. I’d rather see no pricing in ads than inaccurate pricing, so this works for me. The site pricing matches checkout exactly.

Media and Third-Party Validation Perfect

No unverifiable media or partnership claims on the site.

Marketing Practices and Sales Pressure Perfect

The “Spring Price Drop” promotional language offers an introductory discount but doesn’t use countdown timers, urgency messaging, or forced prompts. No pressure to upgrade or commit.

Clarity Around Medication Types and Limitations Minor Issues

Enhance.MD carries a semaglutide + tirzepatide blend marketed as “ideal for patients who have plateaued on other GLP-1 medications or need the strongest appetite and glucose control.” A disclaimer below the “check eligibility” button states: “This compounded formulation is not FDA-approved and is intended solely for patients under active care of a licensed prescriber.” The disclaimer exists, which is good, but the font size is small compared to the marketing language above it.

100

Patient Reviews & Real Experiences

What do recent customers think?

Enhance.MD’s review picture is one of the stronger ones I’ve seen. A 4.1 rating on Trustpilot, an A+ from the BBB with only one resolved complaint in three years, and generally positive Reddit sentiment about compounded efficacy. Clinic responses to public reviews are thoughtful and tailored rather than copy-paste, though I did see one response that came across a little defensive.

KEY OBSERVATIONS

A 4.1 on Trustpilot is solid. Reviews lean positive without feeling manufactured.

BBB gives Enhance.MD an A+ rating. Only one complaint in the last three years, and it was resolved. This is an unusually clean BBB profile.

Reddit is mixed. Some users report strong weight loss (one user lost 98 pounds in 15 months). Others report the compounded formulation feeling less potent some months. Consistent with what you’d expect from compounded GLP-1s generally.

Who Should Use Enhance.MD?

  • If you want rigorous clinical oversight with real human support, Enhance.MD delivers. All appointments are video visits, monthly check-ins are preferred, and you pick your own provider from a named list with availability shown up front. Phone and chat support are staffed by real humans, which you cannot say about most clinics.
  • If included coaching matters to you, Enhance.MD is one of the few clinics that gets this right. One-on-one nutrition and fitness coaching is bundled with your medication. Two coaches on staff with open availability means you can actually book a session rather than staring at an empty calendar.
  • If named pharmacy partners and clean records are a must, Enhance.MD is a strong fit. Rite-Away Pharmacy, Vios Compounding Pharmacy, and TruMedsRx are disclosed by name in the terms of service, and none of them has disciplinary actions on file.
  • If you value clear pricing presentation, you’ll appreciate the dedicated “Medication & Pricing” tab at the top of every page. Pricing is listed clearly, including the rate after the promotional first month, which is a level of transparency most clinics avoid.

Who is Enhance.MD Not For?

  • If you want branded GLP-1 medications like Ozempic, Mounjaro, Wegovy, or Zepbound, keep looking. Enhance.MD offers only compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide injections plus a semaglutide + tirzepatide blend. Clinics like Mochi Health offer a much wider selection of both branded and compounded options.
  • If you live in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, South Carolina, Tennessee, or West Virginia, Enhance.MD does not serve your state. Clinics like Fridays or ShedRx cover more geography.
  • If you need detailed drug information, storage instructions, or injection guidance in the box, you’re out of luck; Enhance.MD doesn’t include any of that. No instruction sheet. No QR code. Nothing. If you’re new to self-injection, you’ll need to rely on your provider visit and the patient portal for guidance.
  • If insurance or HSA/FSA coverage is important, Enhance.MD doesn’t accept either. All charges are out of pocket, and you can’t even use your Health Savings Account, which, honestly, is rare among telehealth clinics.
  • If you’re uncomfortable uploading your driver’s license or a clear photo of your face during intake, this isn’t the clinic for you. Enhance.MD requires both before you can complete sign-up.

Final Verdict

OVERALL SCORE

81

Enhance.MD scores 87/100. The strengths are significant: a 94/100 in Safety & Legitimacy, 100/100 in Patient Support, and 100/100 in Patient Reviews. Named pharmacy partners, real human support, included coaching, choose-your-provider scheduling, and a clear pricing tab on the main site put Enhance.MD in the top tier of clinics I’ve reviewed.

The weaknesses are narrow but specific. The lack of drug information or injection instructions is a real safety gap for first-time patients. The cancellation button in the portal ends up requiring a phone call anyway. An AI-generated marketing video is still live on the site. And at $249/month, the ongoing medication cost sits on the higher end of the market.

If clinical rigor, named pharmacy transparency, and included coaching are your priorities, Enhance.MD is one of the strongest options available. Just know you’ll pay for it, and plan to bring your own injection knowledge.

Take the first step toward better health. Get evaluated now.
