BEFORE WE DIG IN
How IVIM works + is it right for you?
Before reviewing, I signed up with IVIM, recorded the process, and gathered the key info you need to see if it’s a good fit. This review follows NNC’s Price & Trust Transparency Score methodology, which evaluates providers across true cost analysis and safety & legitimacy.
Disclosure: I’m a paid contributor to NutritionNC.com and was not compensated by IVIM for this review.
Step 1: Sign up and complete your intake.
Head to IVIM’s site and start the intake questionnaire. It’s a little long but standard, asking for the usual personal and health history. I did not like that the asynchronous option requires the last four digits of your social security number. Most clinics offer an ID-verification option instead.
Step 2: Choose your consultation type.
You can pick an asynchronous review or a scheduled video visit. Selecting the video consult lets you skip the social security number step. Once I chose video, though, I could not switch back to the asynchronous option, which was frustrating.
Step 3: Attend your video consultation.
My visit was scheduled two days out from my intake date. IVIM does not book appointments over the weekend, so your timeline depends on when you start. The consultation itself was the most professional I have had so far.
Step 4: Get approved and prescribed.
Approval came the same day as my video visit. The provider confirmed my treatment and sent the prescription to one of IVIM’s pharmacy partners.
Step 5: Wait for fulfillment and shipping.
This is where things slowed down. It took eight days for the pharmacy to actually ship my medication. Once it left, it moved fast with overnight delivery and tracking sent by email, text, and the patient portal.
Step 6: Receive your medication and start treatment.
My package arrived in thick insulated foam with two non-sweat ice packs, the medication secured inside, plus extra sharps and alcohol wipes. The instructions and drug information were on a single detailed sheet.
Step 7: Complete ongoing follow-ups.
IVIM offers unlimited provider access, including optional weekly provider check-ins for dose adjustments or other questions. You request each monthly refill through a “Follow-up Visit/Refill” button on your dashboard, and structured check-ins take place every two months.
IVIM has a deep shelf for an online clinic, but what’s even more rare is that it offers microdosing right at intake. Wegovy is offered in both pill and injector-pen forms. It does not offer compounded oral tablets or drops.
1The safety and efficacy of compounded, oral, and microdosed medications, including treatments that have not been inspected and approved by the FDA, cannot be guaranteed. GLP-1 medications may not be appropriate for everyone. Patients should disclose a history of pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, severe gastrointestinal disease, kidney disease or dehydration risk, use of diabetes medications such as insulin or sulfonylureas, pregnancy or plans for pregnancy, and any personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN2. Patients should seek medical help for severe or persistent vomiting, signs of dehydration, severe abdominal pain, symptoms of gallbladder disease, allergic reaction, or possible overdose.

IVIM’s pricing was the least pleasant part of my experience. The full cost was not clear until after I finished intake, and to get pricing on other medications I had to call and ask. The advertised “starting at $100” headline leaves out the membership fee stacked on top, so the real monthly cost runs closer to $275.
KEY OBSERVATIONS
Pricing only became visible after I completed the intake. Finding the costs for the full catalog of medications required a phone call.
The membership fee is charged on top of the medication price, which the headline number does not make obvious.
IVIM advertises “starting at $100 + membership fee,” which reflects a discounted bundle price that’s paid as a lump sum in advance. Not disclosing those details or the actual cost of membership hides what most patients will actually pay.

Lab work is not included and not required to start treatment with IVIM.
Monthly Subscription
$75
IVIM charges a $75 monthly membership fee, and your first month is free. The membership covers benefits like coaching, group classes, and ongoing support, but it is separate from your medication and adds additional monthly cost.
Monthly Medication Costs
Compounded semaglutide (injection)
$199 monthly Regular bundle: 2 months for $380 ($190/mo); 4 months for $500 ($125/mo); 6 months for $600 ($100/mo) Jump Start bundle: 2 months for $200 ($100/mo); 4 months for $300 ($75/mo); 6 months for $450 ($75/mo)
Compounded tirzepatide (injection)

Patients new to GLP-1s are required to begin on the Jump Start bundle, with no monthly payment option available. They can choose a two-, four-, or six-month bundle, but when that bundle is up, they’re no longer eligible for Jump Start pricing and must either pay the full monthly price or choose a different bundle outside of the Jump Start program. Patients who have used a GLP-1 in the previous two months are not eligible for Jump Start pricing. Branded drug pricing is not shared with patients who haven’t requested those brands, so I’m not able to share them here.
ALSO INCLUDED
Coaching and lifestyle support IVIM includes group coaching and one-on-one virtual holistic consultations, along with an extensive patient community inside the portal. This is more structured support than most clinics bundle in.
Nutritional support IVIM provides nutrition coaching with customized diet plans delivered through its mobile app.
Doctor consultations A free one-on-one medical consultation is included. My video consultation was genuinely the most professional I have had from the many online GLP-1 clinics I have reviewed.
Shipping Shipping is included at no extra cost. Once my prescription left the pharmacy it arrived overnight, though it took eight days for the pharmacy to ship it in the first place.
Safety & Legitimacy
Is this provider trustworthy and properly licensed?
IVIM is LegitScript certified, HIPAA compliant, and operates from a verifiable US address, and its provider group is clearly listed on the site. In addition to an FDA warning letter, another main concern is pharmacy transparency. IVIM does not name the compounding and mail-order pharmacies it uses, which makes their licensing and disciplinary histories impossible to verify.
KEY OBSERVATIONS
IVIM holds active LegitScript certification, the industry gold standard for online healthcare providers.
When asked, IVIM said it uses several compounding and mail-order pharmacies based on your state and medication but would not name them. It points to a certificate of analysis and third-party sterility and potency testing instead.
IVIM lists a verifiable US corporate address at 4200 Regent Street, Suite 200, Columbus, OH 43219.
Credentials Breakdown
LegitScript Certification Verified
LegitScript certification is the industry gold standard for online healthcare providers, and IVIM’s certification shows it meets rigorous standards for safety, compliance, and trustworthy online practices.
HIPAA Compliant Perfect
IVIM’s HIPAA privacy notice is clearly posted and easy to find. It uses your health information to treat, operate, and bill, and it spells out your rights to access, correct, restrict, and file complaints. No concerns here.
Clean Provider Records Major issues
IVIM lists its own affiliated provider group, the IVIM Professional Corporation, along with its state professional entities, rather than an outside network, and clinician partners are visible on the site. Unfortunately, the FDA issued a warning letter to IVIM in February about misbranding its products, and I was not able to locate a resolution letter associated with the action. Another problem is the pharmacies. IVIM declined to name any of them, so I could not verify their licenses or check for disciplinary history. The only pharmacy I could verify was the one that actually shipped my medication, since it was named on the package: Pharmcore Inc. dba Hallandale Pharmacy in Fort Lauderdale, FL. That record does not inspire confidence. It carries a long disciplinary history across multiple state boards, including a Texas reprimand, a California revocation, and actions in Kentucky and Oklahoma, along with failure-to-disclose and failure-to-report violations. Some issues appear unresolved, most notably a November 2025 Florida Pharmacy Commission action. Separately, on the federal side, the FDA issued a Form 483 inspection observation in 2025. The company says it relies on a certificate of analysis and third-party sterility and potency testing, but that is its word and not something I could confirm independently.
US Address Perfect
IVIM lists a verifiable US corporate address at 4200 Regent Street, Suite 200, Columbus, OH 43219. It is the corporate office rather than a clinic, but it appears in the HIPAA notice and is reasonably verifiable.
Patient Support & Comprehensive Care
How easy is it to get help from real people?
IVIM’s human support was excellent. I reached a real person by phone easily and got a near-instant, polite reply by email. The only catch is that live chat is AI-only and limited to active patients. Clinical oversight is a clear strength, including weekly provider check-ins and unlimited provider access.
KEY OBSERVATIONS
Live chat is primarily an AI bot, available only to active patients. Ask to reach a person and it tells you to expect a reply within one business day.
I called (877) 581-2210 and quickly reached a polite human who answered my pricing questions without any runaround.
Email replies to support@ivimhealth.com were almost instant, and the team was polite and quick.
Support & Care Breakdown
Live Chat AI
Live chat is primarily an AI bot, and it is only available once you are an active patient. If you ask to reach a human, it tells you to expect a response within one business day. This is the weakest of IVIM’s three support channels.
Phone Support Human
Phone support at (877) 581-2210 is staffed Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. EST. I reached a real person easily, and they were polite and gave me the pricing information I asked for without any pushback.
Email Human
Email support at support@ivimhealth.com was the standout. Replies were almost instant, and the team was consistently polite and quick to respond.
Clinical Access & Oversight Good
IVIM offers regular clinician access with weekly provider check-ins, dose adjustments, and unlimited provider access. You request each monthly refill through a “Follow-up Visit/Refill” button on your dashboard, and structured check-ins happen every two months. This is strong, consistent oversight.
Medication Handling & Shipping Standards
How well shipped and packaged are the medications?
IVIM earned a perfect score here. The cold-chain packaging was done right, all supplies were included with extras, and tracking was easy to follow. However, while the medication arrived overnight once it left the pharmacy, it took eight days for the pharmacy to ship it in the first place.
KEY OBSERVATIONS
The medication shipped in thick insulated foam with two non-sweat ice packs. It arrived cool and secure.
The vial was sealed in a small ziplock bag inside a protective foam cutout and a small box, with extra sharps and alcohol wipes included.
Tracking was provided by email, text, and the patient portal, with overnight shipping once the package left the pharmacy.
Shipping Standards Breakdown
Cold-Chain Shipping Standards Perfect
The medication came in thick insulated foam packaging with two non-sweat ice packs. It arrived cool and well protected, with no concerns about temperature control.
Packaging Quality & Security Perfect
The medication was secured inside a protective foam cutout, sealed in a small ziplock bag, and placed inside a small box. Nothing shifted in transit, and everything arrived cool and intact.
Supplies & Instructions Perfect
All required injection supplies were included, plus extra sharps and a lot of extra alcohol wipes. The medication came as a vial, so you draw and inject yourself, and the instructions and drug information were laid out on a single detailed sheet inside the box.
Tracking & Delivery Perfect
Tracking was provided by email, text, and the patient portal. The delivery itself broke down into stages—about two days from intake to my video visit and same-day approval, then eight days for the pharmacy to fill and ship and one overnight shipping leg, for roughly 11 days total.
Transparent Operations
How honest is IVIM in its policies and communications?
IVIM is a mixed picture on transparency. Cancellation is a single button and images are authentic, but pricing is hard to pin down before intake, the advertised headline price is kind of misleading, and the mandatory Jump Start program won’t work for everyone. Its “as seen in” media logos also do not all hold up.
KEY OBSERVATIONS
Cancellation is one button in the patient portal, but the Jump Start program locks you into the two-month membership first.
IVIM displays logos from The New York Times, Forbes, TIME, CNN, Esquire, Men’s Health, and goop. Only two of the seven checked out.
The advertised “starting at $100 + membership fee” reflects the cheapest bundle and leaves out the high membership price.
Operations Breakdown
Cancellation and Post-Cancellation Billing Minor issues
Cancellation is one easy button in the patient portal, which I appreciated. The catch is if you start on the Jump Start program, you are committing to the two months of the membership fee even if you decide to stop taking the medication. You have to stay a member until that second payment goes through, and only then can you cancel.
Clear Pricing and Policies Major issues
Pricing was not clear until after I completed intake, and even then I had to call to find out the cost of other medications. The team gave me the numbers on the phone without any issue, but having to call at all is a transparency gap.
Accuracy and Authenticity of Images Perfect
IVIM’s patient and outcome images are authentic, with no AI-generated photos passed off as real results.
Advertised Pricing Accuracy Major issues
The advertised “starting at $100 + membership fee” is misleading. The $100 figure reflects the least expensive bundle, and the membership fee stacked on top is not clearly disclosed in that headline, so the real cost is meaningfully higher than the ad suggests.
Media and Third-Party Validation Minor issues
IVIM shows logos from The New York Times, Forbes, TIME, CNN, Esquire, Men’s Health, and goop. I could verify that The New York Times reported on IVIM, and Forbes Health described it as a weight-loss telehealth company. I found no indexed coverage for the other five, and a CNN link traced back to a founder’s LinkedIn post rather than CNN coverage. Treat these “as seen in” logos with some skepticism.
Marketing Practices and Sales Pressure Perfect
IVIM does not use countdown timers, urgency messaging, or forced prompts, and you can review your options without feeling pushed. My one reservation is that it leads with a deceptive lowest-price-per-month figure, but there are no high-pressure sales tactics.
Clarity Around Medication Types and Limitations Perfect
IVIM offers both branded and compounded medications and is clear that the compounded versions are not FDA approved. Setting that expectation up front is exactly what I want to see from an online clinic.
Patient Reviews & Real Experiences
What do recent customers think?
IVIM holds a strong 4.9 on Trustpilot and a rare A+ BBB accreditation, though that BBB profile also logs 101 complaints over three years. Reddit is more skeptical, leaning negative over membership fees and questions about compounded medication. IVIM does respond to feedback, but its replies read like a copy-and-paste script.
KEY OBSERVATIONS
IVIM has a 4.9 rating on Trustpilot, which is genuinely high for this category.
IVIM is BBB accredited with an A+, which is rare for a clinic, but the profile shows 101 complaints in three years, 49 closed in the last 12 months.
Redditors lean more negative, citing membership fees and concerns about the compounded medication’s effectiveness and transparency.
Who Should Use IVIM?
If you want doctor-led care with frequent provider contact, then IVIM is built for you. Weekly provider check-ins, dose adjustments, and unlimited provider access give you more clinical oversight than most online clinics.
If you want both branded and compounded options, including microdosing, you’ll appreciate IVIM’s unusual range. It offers Ozempic, Mounjaro, Wegovy, and Zepbound alongside compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide, and it is one of the few clinics to offer microdosing right at intake.
If responsive human support matters to you, IVIM delivers. I reached a real person by phone in minutes and got near-instant email replies, both polite and genuinely helpful.
If you want to pay with an HSA or FSA card, you can at IVIM. That payment flexibility helps offset the membership fee for patients who have those funds available.
Who is IVIM Not For?
If you want to know exactly which pharmacy fills your prescription, IVIM will disappoint you. It uses several undisclosed compounding and mail-order pharmacies, so you cannot verify their licensing yourself.
If transparent up-front pricing is a must, then IVIM will frustrate you. Full pricing stays hidden until after intake, and you have to call to learn the cost of anything beyond the headline bundle.
If you need your medication quickly, IVIM’s fulfillment may test your patience. It took eight days for the pharmacy to ship mine, even though the eventual overnight shipping was fast.
If you want insurance to cover your treatment, keep looking. IVIM will run a prior authorization to see if reimbursement is an option, but you pay out of pocket. Clinics like Mochi Health offer broader options if coverage and selection are your priority.
If you live in Mississippi, then IVIM is off the table. It serves the other 49 states, but not that one.
Final Verdict
OVERALL SCORE
Fair
IVIM scores 65/100, carried by genuinely excellent patient care and shipping. Its standout strengths are perfect scores in Patient Support and Medication Handling, earned for frequent provider check-ins, fast human phone and email help, and cold-chain packaging done right. The weaknesses center on transparency, with undisclosed pharmacies and pricing that stay hidden until after intake, plus an advertised “starting at $100” headline that leaves out an expensive membership fee, thus understating the real cost.
If you want attentive, doctor-led care and don’t mind paying a membership fee on top of your medication, IVIM is a strong, polished option. But if clear pricing and pharmacy accountability matter to you, press for those answers first.
Take the first step toward better health. Get evaluated now.
IVIM charges a $75 monthly membership fee, free the first month, on top of medication. Compounded semaglutide injections start around $199/month and compounded tirzepatide around $300/month. Lower per-month pricing is available with various Jump Start bundles. The real all-in cost, without bundles, lands near $275/month for compounded semaglutide.
Does IVIM accept insurance or HSA/FSA?
IVIM does not bill insurance directly and is a self-pay clinic, though it will run a prior authorization to check if your insurance company might reimburse you. It does accept HSA and FSA cards as payment at checkout.
Is IVIM a legitimate GLP-1 provider?
IVIM is LegitScript certified, HIPAA compliant, and lists a verifiable US address along with its own provider group. The main gap is that it does not name its compounding pharmacies, so their licenses cannot be independently verified.
How long does IVIM take to ship medication?
IVIM took about 11 days for me overall: roughly two days from intake to my video visit and same-day approval, then eight days for the pharmacy to fill and ship, plus one overnight shipping leg. The overnight leg was fast, but the pharmacy fill window is the slow part.
Does IVIM offer microdosing and branded medications?
IVIM offers both microdosing and branded medications. You can choose compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide, including microdose options selected right at intake, as well as branded drugs like Ozempic®, Mounjaro®, Wegovy®, and Zepbound®.
