BEFORE WE DIG IN

Before reviewing, I signed up with Effecty, recorded the process, and gathered the key info you need to see if it’s a good fit. This review follows NNC’s Price & Trust Transparency Score methodology, which evaluates providers across true cost analysis and safety & legitimacy.

Disclosure: I’m a paid contributor to NutritionNC.com and was not compensated by Effecty for this review.

Step 1: Sign up and complete your intake.

The intake is free but fairly long. Effecty asks for basic health and personal information as well as a photo ID for verification. Every consent form and policy is presented as a short dropdown with a two-sentence description, which keeps the process from feeling overwhelming even if it takes a while to get through.

Step 2: Select your medication and plan.

After the intake, you choose between compounded and branded GLP-1 options and pick a plan length. Monthly, three-month, six-month, and annual bundles are all available, and pricing is displayed clearly before you commit.

Step 3: Provider reviews your file asynchronously.

Effecty works with independent, board-certified prescribers from Beluga Health, P.A. via the Bask Health telehealth platform. No video call is required. Approval is same-day, and prescriptions are typically issued within 24 hours.

Step 4: Receive your medication.

Effecty ships overnight with tracking by email and in the portal. The packaging quality stood out immediately: two fully frozen ice packs inside a thick foam-insulated box, with the medication in a ziplock bag that was folded over and taped. It was the most intentional cold-chain packaging I’ve seen across all my reviews.

Step 5: Manage ongoing care through the portal.

Unlimited provider check-ins are available for dose adjustments and support. Cancellation, plan changes, and follow-ups are all handled inside the patient portal without needing to contact support.

For my review, I tested and scored Effecty across six key areas that matter most: true cost, legitimacy, patient support, shipping standards, transparency, and real customer feedback.

Here’s everything I found:

66

True Cost Analysis

How clear and fair is Effecty’s pricing?

Effecty’s advertised starting price of $105 per month looks competitive, but that rate applies only to the first month. After that, the monthly plan jumps to $205. If you commit to a 12-month plan paid up front, the per-month cost drops to $160. Effecty calls this bulk pricing its “starting at” price, though, with only a small asterisk disclosing the advance payment and year-long commitment. The disclosure is at least honest if not obvious. Another pricing advertisement highlightsGLP-1s at $3.50 a day—about $105 per month—without noting that figure applies only to the first month. That gap between what’s shown in ads and what you actually pay after month one is what pulls this score down.

KEY OBSERVATIONS

Effecty displays pricing clearly for all four bundle lengths before you commit. The “starting at $160/mo” headline includes a note stating it reflects a 12-month purchase, which is more disclosure than most clinics offer.

Checkout pricing matched what was advertised on the plan page. No fees appeared that weren’t disclosed.

An advertisement using $3.50 per day works out to $105 per month, the first-month rate only. The ad makes no mention of that limitation, which is misleading for patients comparing costs.

Pricing Breakdown

Not included

Lab work is not included and not required. Effecty does not require any labs to begin treatment. If you or your provider want lab work prior to treatment, you will have to arrange for them yourself and pay an additional cost.

Safety & Legitimacy

Is this provider trustworthy and properly licensed?

Effecty is LegitScript certified, HIPAA compliant, and has a verifiable US business address. Its pharmacy partners aren’t listed on the site, but asking via chat gets you the full list right away: five pharmacies, all with active licenses. One of them, GoGoMeds, had a resolved 2019 administrative order, though all other records are clean.

KEY OBSERVATIONS

Effecty holds active LegitScript certification. This is the industry gold standard for online healthcare providers and confirms basic compliance and safety standards.

GoGoMeds received a resolved 2019 administrative order (a $1,000 fine for an out-of-state supervision issue), now closed with no further actions. The other four pharmacies show no disciplinary history on file.

Liability Company filed January 22, 2026. The business address is publicly listed and verifiable.

Credentials Breakdown

LegitScript Certification Verified

LegitScript certification is the industry gold standard for online healthcare providers, and Effecty’s certification shows it meets rigorous standards for safety, compliance, and trustworthy online practices.

HIPAA Compliant Perfect

Effecty’s HIPAA Privacy Statement is published through Beluga Health, P.A. and Bask Health, Inc. It clearly describes how protected health information is used, disclosed, and protected.

Clean Provider Records Minor issues

Effecty works with five pharmacy partners: Emerald Compounding Pharmacy, VialsRx, Greenwich Pharmacy, GoGoMeds, and Pharmacy Hub. None of this appears on the site, so you need to ask via chat. Of the five, GoGoMeds received a resolved 2019 administrative order (a $1,000 fine for an out-of-state supervision issue in its Texas location); its Arizona location and all other pharmacy partners show no disciplinary history on record. On the prescriber side, Effecty works with board-certified physicians from Beluga Health, P.A. Your prescriber’s name appears in the patient portal, though no license number for independent verification is displayed.

US Address Perfect

SBK Effecty LLC is registered at 60 Edgewater Dr., Unit 14K, Miami, FL 33133. The address is verifiable and publicly listed.

Patient Support & Comprehensive Care

How easy is it to get help from real people?

Effecty’s support is genuinely accessible. Phone, chat, and email are all available, even though AI is the first point of contact in chat and email. Ask for a human and you get one, which is the standard that earns a perfect score here.

KEY OBSERVATIONS

Chat opens with Taylor, Effecty’s AI. When I asked for a human, it connected me. Human support is reachable during business hours without friction.

Phone support is available Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST. Human agents answer during those hours.

My email response came immediately from Taylor (AI), but it was thorough and included source links for the information provided. Not a human reply, but a genuinely useful one

Support & Care Breakdown

Live Chat Human/AI

Chat opens with Taylor, Effecty’s AI agent, and it handles routine questions well. When I asked to speak with a person, I was connected without any runaround. Human support is available during business hours through this channel, and Taylor serves as a capable first line for most inquiries.

Medication Handling & Shipping Standards

How well shipped and packaged are the medications?

This was the most impressive package I received across all my GLP-1 reviews. Two fully frozen ice packs were the coldest I’ve seen and inside a thick foam-insulated box. The medication came in a ziplock bag that was folded over and taped shut. I’ve never seen that level of intentional wrapping on the medication itself before.

KEY OBSERVATIONS

Two fully frozen ice packs inside a thick foam-insulated box mean the ice packs were the firmest I’ve received in any of my reviews. The medication was in a separate inner box, wrapped in a taped ziplock for additional protection.

Double the sharps, double the wipes, plus a branded thank-you card and a drug information sheet covering injection and storage instructions. The supplies arrived in a separate baggie outside the insulated pack, organized and intact.

My medication arrived on time with overnight shipping and tracking available in both email and the patient portal.

Shipping Standards Breakdown

Cold-Chain Shipping Standards Perfect

Two fully frozen ice packs inside a thick foam-insulated package kept the medication at the right temperature. These ice packs were more solidly frozen than anything I’d received previously. Cold-chain handling here is exactly what it should be.

Packaging Quality & Security Perfect

The medication was secured inside a small inner box, placed inside a ziplock bag that had been folded over and taped shut, then packed with the ice packs inside the foam insulator. I haven’t seen any other clinic tape the ziplock on the medication before. It felt intentional and careful in a way most packages don’t.

Branded Effecty thank-you card included in the package, placed next to the organized supply bags.
Supplies & Instructions Perfect

The package included two full packs of sharps and two full packs of alcohol wipes, double the amount typically sent. A drug information sheet with injection and storage instructions was included inside the medication box, and a branded thank-you card was included in the package. One of the nicer personal touches I’ve seen from a GLP-1 clinic.

Tracking & Delivery Perfect

Overnight shipping with full tracking in both email and the patient portal. My medication arrived on time with no issues.

95

Transparent Operations

How honest is Effecty in its policies and communications?

Effecty comes close to a perfect transparency score, and most of those marks were fully earned. Its pricing page is clear, cancellation takes three taps in the portal, and there are no pressure tactics or misleading imagery anywhere I looked. The one issue is an advertisement claiming $3.50 per day for GLP-1s, a rate that applies only to the first month, with no disclosure of that limitation.

KEY OBSERVATIONS

Cancellation is in the patient portal under treatments → manage → cancel membership. It takes effect immediately with no follow-up required.

Effecty does not display media coverage logos, university partnerships, or award claims that can’t be verified. No “as seen in” imagery anywhere on the site.

No countdown timers, urgency banners, or pop-up sales prompts. Effecty lets you review options without pressure.

Operations Breakdown

Cancellation and Post-Cancellation Billing Perfect

Canceling is simple. Effecty doesn’t route you through support to cancel, which I genuinely appreciate. Navigate to “treatments,” click “manage,” then “cancel membership.” The cancellation takes effect immediately.

Clear Pricing and Policies Perfect

Pricing is clearly displayed on the site with all four bundle lengths shown side by side. Above the price breakdown, Effecty shows “starting at $160/mo” and includes a note that this price reflects an annual bundle, which requires a one-time payment of $1,920. Most clinics who use bundle prices to look more affordable skip that disclosure entirely. Before payment, a dropdown list of policies appears with checkbox confirmations. Each dropdown is short, readable, and to the point.

Accuracy and Authenticity of Images Perfect

Patient and outcome images on Effecty’s site appear authentic. I found no AI-generated or stock imagery passed off as real patient results.

Advertised Pricing Accuracy Minor issues

An advertisement claims GLP-1s are $3.50 per day, which works out to roughly $105 per month. That’s the first-month rate on the monthly plan, not the ongoing price, which is $205 after month one. The ad includes no mention of that distinction. Effecty’s site itself is more honest about this than its ad is.

Media and Third-Party Validation Perfect

Effecty does not make any unverifiable media or partnership claims. No publications, awards, or university logos appear on the site that would need to be verified.

Marketing Practices and Sales Pressure Perfect

No countdown timers, urgency messaging, or forced prompts appear anywhere on Effecty’s site. Patients can evaluate options at their own pace.

Clarity Around Medication Types and Limitations Perfect

Effecty offers both branded and compounded GLP-1 injections and includes a clear disclaimer that compounded medications are not FDA approved. The distinction between medication types is presented plainly, without burying the limitations.

50

Patient Reviews & Real Experiences

What do recent customers think?

Effecty holds a 4.6 on Trustpilot and a B+ rating on the BBB. These are solid numbers for a clinic that appears to have launched recently. Reddit feedback is more mixed. The biggest concern is that Effecty does not appear to have responded to any patient reviews on Trustpilot since August 2025, and the BBB shows two filed complaints.

KEY OBSERVATIONS

A 4.6 on Trustpilot is a strong rating. It reflects genuine patient satisfaction with the product and experience.

A B+ BBB rating with two complaints is decent. The clinic has not publicly responded to patient feedback through the BBB.

Reddit sentiment on Effecty is mixed. Some users report positive experiences, while others raise concerns about telehealth marketing practices and side effects.

Who Should Use Effecty?

  • If best-in-class cold-chain shipping matters to you, then Effecty is one of the best options. Two fully frozen ice packs, a taped ziplock around the medication box, and double the standard sharps and wipes present a level of care in packaging that I haven’t seen matched.
  • If you want to manage your care on your own schedule without calling support, you’ll like that Effecty’s patient portal makes it easy. Cancellation, dose adjustments, and provider check-ins are all handled in the portal without needing to reach support.
  • If you want both branded and compounded GLP-1 options from a single provider, then Effecty delivers. Monthly compounded injections and branded pens for Ozempic, Mounjaro, Wegovy, and Zepbound are all available in one place.
  • If LegitScript certification is a baseline requirement for you, Effecty clears that bar. It’s certified, HIPAA compliant, and has a verifiable US business address on file.
  • If you want to use HSA or FSA funds for your GLP-1 treatment, then Effecty accepts those without issue. Effecty may not accept insurance, but if you save through HSA or FSA, you still have options.

Who is Effecty Not For?

  • If you want to know which pharmacy fills your prescription before signing up, Effecty isn’t for you. The information is available via chat and when you ask, you get an immediate answer, but it isn’t disclosed anywhere on the site.
  • If you want coaching, nutrition support, or any lifestyle programming alongside your medication, keep looking. Clinics like MEDVi include comprehensive lifestyle coaching at no extra cost.
  • If a clinic’s responsiveness to patient feedback is important to you, then Effecty’s track record will give you pause. It does not appear to have responded to any reviews on Trustpilot since August 2025.
  • If you live in Louisiana, you can’t get GLP-1s through Effecty right now. It serves all 49 other states.
  • If you’re looking for oral or microdose compounded GLP-1 options, you won’t get them at Effecty. Mochi Health offers a much wider range of compounded formats, including oral tablets, drops, and microdose options.

Final Verdict

OVERALL SCORE

81

Effecty scores 78/100, carried by near-perfect performance across shipping, patient support, and transparency.

Its standout qualities are the medication handling (100/100) and patient support (100/100). The packaging is the most carefully executed I’ve seen across all my reviews, and human support is genuinely accessible when you need it. On the downside, the True Cost Analysis score (66/100) reflects a real gap between the advertised starting price and the actual ongoing cost, and the patient reviews score (50/100) reflects a complete absence of clinic engagement with public feedback.

If you want a reliable, well-run clinic with outstanding shipping and accessible support, Effecty delivers. Just factor in that the true monthly cost is $205, not $105, before comparing it to other options.
