Implicit Bias and Cultural Humility
- This session focused on aptitude of service. By the end of this discussion, attendees should be able to identify the dimensions of cultural competency, recognize implicit bias and its negative consequences, and assess ways to foster an inclusive environment for WIC participants.

Maximizing WIC Redemptions
- During this session expert William Kaericher, analyzed North Carolina redemption information and provided advice on methods to increase the likelihood of food benefit redemptions by participants. By the end of this session, attendees should be able to calculate of WIC Leakage and its value to retailers, build a plan to identify drivers of leakage, and plan to measure improvement and show progress.

WIC Permanent Vendor Rules - Updated 03/12/20
North Carolina WIC Retailer Advisory Council - Updated 12/03/20
The North Carolina WIC Program in collaboration with the North Carolina Retail Merchants Association has established the North Carolina WIC Retailer Advisory Council to discuss topics relevant to North Carolina WIC retailers (vendors). The North Carolina WIC Retailer Advisory Council meets via conference call on a quarterly basis. The following meeting dates and times have been scheduled:
- April 13, 2021; 10:00am
- July 13, 2021; 10:00am
- October 12, 2021; 10:00am
The conference call number is 919-715-0769. Meetings are not mandatory, but vendors are encouraged to attend to find out information which may impact WIC vendor authorization.
