NET Lending Library Policies
Catalog | Lending Policies | NET Library Overview
Any responsible individual of the State of North Carolina may borrow materials. Materials are lent free of charge. Borrowers pay return postage only. Return must be made by a delivery service such as UPS.
Materials are lent for four weeks from the date of departure from the Library. A one-week "grace period" is granted to allow the return of materials through the mail. Should you need to keep the materials past the due date, call for an extension and the due date may be extended depending on demand for the material.
A "First Overdue" notice is issued to the borrower when materials are not returned by the due date. A "Second Overdue" notice follows two weeks later if the materials are still not returned. A "Third Overdue" notice follows two weeks after the second, stating that the borrower has lost borrowing privileges until all materials have been returned. Privileges will be restored if materials are returned within two weeks of the "Third Overdue" notice, otherwise the borrower will no longer be eligible to borrow materials. Extenuating circumstances will be taken into consideration.
The NET Resource Library is currently in transition. Resources cannot be checked out at this time.
