SUBJECT: CACFP Reimbursement Rates
   

This notice announces the annual adjustments to the national average payment rates for meals served in child care centers, outside-school-hours care centers, at-risk afterschool care centers and adult day care centers. The payment rates for meals served in day care homes, and the administrative reimbursement rates for sponsors of day care homes are also listed. The following rates of reimbursement are maximum rates. These rates, when multiplied by the percent of applications (free, reduced, and denied), are used by the state agency to calculate your blended rates for reimbursement.

*The lunch and supper rates do not include the current cash-in-lieu of commodity value for each lunch or supper served to participants. That rate is set at .1500.

** This rate also applies to the Afterschool snack served in approved At-Risk Programs of the CACFP.

The following Day Care Home Administrative Payment Rates will be effective July 1, 2000 through June 30, 2001.

Initial 50 (1-50) $80.00

Next 150 (51-200) $61.00

Next 800 (201-1,000) $48.00

All additional homes 1,001 and over $42.00

Reimbursement rates provided to Sponsoring Organizations for meals served in day care homes.
