This catalog presents a collection of materials organized into five chapters, each targeting a specific audience or age group that is likely to benefit from the resources. Many of the materials are suitable for multiple audiences and are cross-referenced for easy navigation. Each entry in the catalog includes specific recommendations regarding the appropriate audience. The five chapters are as follows:

  • Child Care (Pre K): This section features materials designed to teach healthful eating and nutrition to toddlers and young children in various settings, including child care facilities and WIC offices. It also includes resources for training child care providers.
  • Elementary School (K – 6): Here, educators and child nutrition staff will find resources aimed at teaching healthful eating and nutrition concepts to elementary students.
  • Middle School/High School (7 – 12): This chapter offers materials for teachers and child nutrition staff to educate middle and high school students about healthful eating and nutrition, as well as resources suitable for student class projects.
  • General Food and Nutrition: This section encompasses a wide range of topics, including food service, special dietary needs, eating disorders, ethnic food preparation, breastfeeding, and general nutrition references.
  • Adult Day Care: Resources in this chapter cover essential topics such as general nutrition, diabetes management, osteoporosis, exercise and aging, special nutritional considerations for the elderly, and practical tips for shopping and cooking for individuals.
